  • Physiotherapy Department in Killybegs Community Hospital – Thomas Pringle TD
recently one of the physiotherapists has been asked to work shorter days in Killybegs and is covering hours in Ballyshannon This means that Killybegs is again being put on the back burner regarding all services just to facilitate shortages in staff in other locations There is a large waiting list for physiotherapy in Killybegs and it is unfair that Killybegs Community Hospital should carry this burden It was to my understanding that there is an embargo in place and HSE are unable to employ much needed staff in different departments but as I am also aware physiotherapists where not included in the recruitment embargo therefore there should not be such a shortage of physiotherapists to carry out their duties I have asked HSE West to inform me how the HSE are going to resolve the large waiting list for physiotherapy in Killybegs since the HSE cut the physiotherapist working hours Deputy Pringle states that from talking to a few of my constituents I believe that the waiting list in the Physiotherapy Department in Killybegs Community Hospital is now approximately seven to eight months for someone to be seen by the physiotherapist CLICK HERE TO READ THE RESPONSE THAT I RECEIVED BACK FROM HSE WEST MANAGEMENT Be Sociable Share Previous Story A Tale of Two Treaties Next Story Sixth Class Students of Niall Mór National School Visit to the Dail One Comment Moya Campbell 9th May 2012 at 9 22 am Re The reply from the HSE If they can t employ a physiotherapist they should employ someone to check spelling and the use of the English language in their correspondence About admin Contact Info Killybegs Constituency Office Connolly House Bridge Street Killybegs Co Donegal 074 97 41880 thomas pringle oir ie Latest News Look out for my General Election 2016

  • Donegal Democrat Article published today online “Local Pringle takes legal challenge against government on EU treaties – Thomas Pringle TD
matters that I seek the clarification and assistance of the Court on are of crucial importance not only for the citizens of this country but for the future of the EU Of concern are the implications under the terms of the ESM treaty as a new permanent 500 billion bailout fund called the European Stability Mechanism is to be set up with power to call on Ireland at a time of that institution s choosing to make capital contributions of up to 11 145 400 00 in various forms of capital In this country s case this is the equivalent to approximately one third of Government Tax Revenue for 2011 This figure can be increased at the sole behest of the ESM at any time in the future and with no limit set in the treaty as to what may be sought from Member States in the future In effect it can direct the State to raise sovereign debt give the money so raised to it and can then decide where when whether and how it is to be spent Therefore Ireland will not have power to control decisions regarding the use of funds raised by it What if a majority of voters in the May referendum on the Fiscal Compact Treaty vote in favour of imposing permanent austerity rules on the country in order to get access to a proposed permanent Eurozone loan fund only to discover that the treaty to establish that fund is illegal under EU law and unconstitutional in Ireland and may never in fact come into force On the 9th March last I wrote to the Taoiseach the Minister for Finance and the Minister for Foreign Affairs detailing some of these very serious concerns To date I have received no reply to this correspondence beyond the usual standard acknowledgement of receipt of the communication I have now been left with no other option but to take this course of action Be Sociable Share Previous Story Ocean FM Donegal TD lodges papers with HC against ESM Treaty Next Story Kenny will vigorously defend action on ESM 2 Comments david brady 17th April 2012 at 8 19 pm Good man Thomas will be interesting to see what the courts have to say on this mater maybe you should make a representation to Michael Lowry despite his questionable past history he seems to have no trouble getting time with various ministers slan David Roger Eldridge 19th April 2012 at 8 00 am It would appear to any rational man that your argument is sound and bound to succeed so well done Thomas The referendum raises to date the most serious affront to the sovereignty of the Irish people and their liberty We find ourselves having to be in and out of the High Court and Supreme Court almost every other week so we would be very keen to see your paperwork to see if we can help and support your actions or whether we need to take a
