    from abroad is Claire Drennan a manager in the Technology consulting practice at PwC Ireland Faced with a lack of career options as the recession took hold in 2007 Claire decided to extend her stay in the USA where she was studying for a BSc Degree in International Business at Northeastern University Boston a programme she began at DCU I am delighted to be involved in building PwC Dublin s data analytics team which is growing all the time After working with Merrill Lynch New York and the Hyatt Hotel in Chicago she moved to London to join Capgemini s graduate programme where she qualified as a Management Consultant specialising in data analytics By late 2014 Claire decided it was time to come home The Irish job market was growing and after a number of interviews she decided to join PwC In her interview with PwC s Head of Advisory Ciarán Kelly Claire was impressed by the firm s friendly and supportive environment as well as its plans to grow its analytics practice I was very keen that I could bring home my international experience right back to Dublin says Claire So far I have worked with some of Ireland s largest companies including many of the multinationals based here as well as the public sector You get the feeling that you are at the centre of Europe I am delighted to be involved in building PwC Dublin s data analytics team which is growing all the time Much of this growth she says is driven by digital technologies and clients demand to grow revenues improve performance and efficiency I get a real buzz being involved in helping clients make important decisions Not only is Claire building on her experience she is also involved at the very highest levels within
