    Full Time Officials Annual Delegate Conference Membership Service Charter Info for Branches Justice for Colombia Putumayo Buenaventura Training Recruitment Toolkit PSEU Blog Latest News Agriculture Irish Lights Revenue Group Committee Sub Branches EC Members Standing Orders Committee Revenue Group Rules Contact Us Home The Public Service Executive Union represents Executive Grades in the Civil Service the wider Public Sector Search PSEU Conference calls for Pay Restoration By Seán Carabini Assistant General Secretary Thursday 16th April 2015 0 comments Conference has passed an important motion that clearly sets out the pay priorities of PSEU members The motion states This ADC recognises that Ireland needs a pay increase in order to stimulate demand and thereby to improve economic growth Conference notes that members of this Union in the Public Service have suffered income cuts of an average of 13 5 in addition to the impositions shared by the rest of the community and Conference notes that the imposition of significant disimprovements in terms and conditions of employment has led to further suffering for members The incoming Executive Committee is instructed to pursue income recovery for Public Servants and to seek to reinstate conditions which were disimproved significantly in the course of our recent economic crisis During the debate on the motion conference delegates noted the litany of severe cuts to both pay and conditions since the onslaught of the economic crisis A flavour of the debate I could just say We Want Our Money Back or maybe I could just say We Want The Jobs That We Signed Up For Back I want everything that has been taken from us by successive Governments restored The Public Sector Pension Levy should be dismantled We need to include social partnership at the heart of this discussion I m not looking for a pay increase
