    Bulletins Press Releases Briefings Leaflets News Newsletters Podcasts Videos Contact Finding Help FAQs Glossary Links Vacancies Donate Navigation Dr Eve Griffin Eve holds a PhD in Applied Psychology from University College Cork and is a post doctoral researcher with the National Suicide Research Foundation She is currently the manager of the National Registry of Deliberate Self Harm a national system which collects data relating to self harm presentations made to Irish hospital emergency departments Having worked with the National Suicide Research Foundation since 2011 Eve has a particular interest in the profile of hospital treated self harm the profile of intentional drug overdose presentations as well as the management of self harm patients Eve also collaborates with the Northern Ireland Public Health Agency they operate the Northern Ireland National Registry of Deliberate Self Harm In addition Eve has recently been working to establish routine monitoring of all injury presentations to Irish hospitals Eve has been involved in a number of EU consortia including Heal Train Optimised Suicide Prevention programmes and their Implementation in Europe OSPI Europe and Joint Action for Monitoring Injuries in Europe JAMIE She is member of the Special Interest Group on unintentional injuries in children as well

    Links Vacancies Donate Navigation Dr Celine Larkin Biography Dr Celine Larkin is senior researcher and coordinator on the SSIS ACE study Celine graduated from University College Cork s Bachelor in Applied Psychology in 2007 and was awarded a place on the Health Research Board Scholars PhD in Health Services Research in 2008 Her doctoral research focussed on the association between self cutting and increased risk of repetition of self harm among those presenting to emergency departments in Ireland For her systematic review on risk factors for repetition of self harm Celine received the Irish Association of Suicidology Inaugural Award for Excellence in Research in 2011 After successful completion of her doctoral thesis in 2012 she worked as a research officer for the multicentre European Commission funded study Preventing Depression and Improving Awareness through Networking in the EU PREDI NU Her role focussed on coordination and local implementation of iFightDepression a web based self management programme for mild to moderate depression In January 2014 Celine was appointed senior researcher on the SSIS ACE study at the National Suicide Research Foundation This Health Research Board funded case control study focusses on psychosocial psychiatric and work related risk factors associated with suicide in
