in Insurance APA programme for 2016 The most significant change is the streamlining of module content to ensure the APA programme meets the Central Bank s Minimum Competency Code 2011 in a clear and accessible way for students We ve done this by Increasing our focus on industry trends needs and practice Introducing multiple choice question exam formats for PDI 03 Personal General Insurance and October QUALIFICATIONS EXAMS Rechecks and Reviews Applying for a recheck To apply for a recheck please submit a written Recheck Review Request Form together with the recheck fee of 35 to arrive no later than ten working days after the date on which the results are first published In the event of a recheck resulting in an upward revision of marks this fee is refundable A recheck includes a verification of examination materials confirming that The correct candidate number has been assigned to the student s examination materials All sections of the examination materials have been marked Those marks have been combined accurately in arriving at the final examination mark Full details on exam rechecks are available in the III Examination Regulations Applying for a review Reviews apply to written modules only To apply for a review students must submit a written request specifying the grounds and detailing the element s of the exam where the review is sought and any other information the student wishes to have taken into account The request must be received no later than ten working days after the date on which ratified examination results are first published A review means the reconsideration by the examiner of all or part of the existing exam material The examiner will provide a detailed report on the student s written exam script indicating by subpart of each question where the student lost marks in relation to the marking scheme Reviews are subject to a fee of 65 In the event of the review resulting in an upward revision of marks this fee is refundable Full pass fail basis Results for Multiple Choice Question MCQ exams are released online only shortly after the exams take place Students who sit an exam will be notified of having achieved a pass or fail EXAMS Deferrals and Absences Deferrals Exam registrations cannot be deferred from one examination session e g January 2015 to another e g May 2015 If you are unable to sit an examination you have registered for you will need to re apply for the next available exam sitting and pay the appropriate fee Student Illness In the event of certifiable illness you will be required to re register for the next available exam sitting A re registration fee of 90 per module applies You are obliged to provide the III with an original medical certificate and or supporting documentation together with the re registration fee within ten working days of the date of the original exam Applications without supporting documentation and the relevant fee will not be considered Extenuating Circumstances In the event of absence from an exam due to the death serious illness of a direct family member you will be required to re register for the exam and to provide the III with supporting documentation together with the re registration fee within ten working days of the date of the original exam In these circumstances the waiving of the re registration fee is at the discretion of the III Cancellations Once
