  • Eventbrite has further plans to disrupt event market - Digital Times | Digital Times
    and promote events via Twitter and Facebook from the site s interface Kevin and Julia spotted a big gap in the market back in 2006 says Marino Fresch a Northern Ireland native now part of the two person Eventbrite team in Dublin s Digital Hub There were enterprise ticketing solutions like Ticketmaster for huge events but very little for smaller event organisers Having been born in San Francisco the platform says it is about enabling more people to organise and promote events It s about helping the little guy as well as the medium guy Now it has its sights on the bigger guys large stadium concerts and festivals It is also very importantly a mobile platform People can use Eventbrite s two apps to buy tickets and or organise events and sell tickets Fresch says there are 30 people working for the firm in its European HQ in London but it is ramping up its presence in Ireland and will be igniting its marketing on the back of very impressive organic growth in the Irish market Fresch also talked about the data the platform is harvesting and how by analysing such large data sets and pulling together insights the company is able to pass on valuable information to event organisers which again helps to plan events better and drive engagement and ticket sales Eventbrite CTO Renaud Visage will be at the DubStarts event in March and will talk about a new product the company has in the pipeline it s quite an interesting product one that is a natural extension of what Eventbrite offers but one that will also help event organisers sell more tickets to larger seated events Watch this space Related posts Mobile marketing start up ZinMobi plans international expansion The power of storytelling IAB s annual
