the product You know these guys are going places These founders are always challenging us as they expect the best in terms of UI UX scalability and performance Saying that the most important thing in a customer is respect and a common vision How do you see Ireland s tech scene as we enter 2015 Still optimistic about it Any crystal ball predictions The tech scene in Ireland is getting really interesting A few years back everybody was developing SaaS products and launching before they involved the customer Now most of work goes into customer validation before any code is written at all This has led to a whole raft of top quality product companies emerging in the past couple of years that can stand with the best in the world I wouldn t be surprised if we see another firm like Skype Zynga Facebook or Paypal very soon Stripe emerged from Ireland I m optimistic to say the least We are seeing these companies coming onstream before a lot of the wider public hears about them There s definitely a few interesting gems who will be ready to scale big time in 2015 What s the biggest lesson you ve learned since starting in 2011 Always do the best that you can for clients They re your ambassadors so you better keep them happy Also the most important time to invest in sales is when you re most busy Never take your eye off sales and marketing Did you ever spot a digital tech trend emerging and not act on it and then regret it If so what was it Once or twice but spotting the trend is the easy part Execution is everything I once worked for a mapping company in the very late 90s I developed a client server application that calculated routes based on your location Handheld devices were just coming onstream at the time I thought wouldn t it be cool if Then along came Garmin TomTom and the rest a few years later Where is SaaS and app development going what s most in demand out there There aren t massive in SaaS development in terms of technologies Net Ruby PHP are still the main languages used We re seeing a lot of MEAN stack projects come our way The performance is great using Mongo and Node It s amazing to see how fast they can retrieve data from massive datasets The quality of apps has definitely improved with more use of jQuery responsive CSS and all the other cool frameworks out there What s your company s USP We don t just cut code like typical software development companies We re made up of designers developers and product managers who each have been previously involved in a number of product companies Also we re able to integrate with existing in house teams to ramp up development when needed It s not a case anymore of completely outsourcing or not Most companies prefer a
