    to spotlight wrongdoing where it adversely affects business activity in this country Positive Stories Having had to write so many doom and gloom reports since the beginning of the recession Mr Lyons said that he was delighted that the emergence of Ireland s entrepreneurial scene had allowed him to tell some truly positive stories Winners Over the course of the next hour the awards came thick and fast as the winners in the Arts Business and Social categories were announced The winners in the arts category were Trevor White and Simon O Connor of The Little Museum of Dublin a people s museum made up of pieces donated by ordinary Dubliners The two fantastic runners up were 10DaysinDublin Ireland s largest all inclusive arts festival and Print Block a creative member s organisation for textile artists and designers The Business category winners were Anthony Glynn and James Sherlock of Ár nua Tec manufacturers of micro hydro turbines which enable users to generate their own electricity Just missing out were Temptster developers of an innovative mobile app which enables users to find same day offers in nearby bars and restaurants and Q1 Scientific providers of stability storage for life science and pharma companies Liz McKeown of Biz World Ireland took the top prize in the Social Category Biz World Ireland are a group of educators business people who strive to equip the next generation with the skills for the new global economy including entrepreneurship money management decision making working as a team and innovation BizWorld Ireland held off stiff competition from Solas Project which engages with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and provides new innovative approaches to tackle educational underachievement and youth crime and CoderDojo an open source movement of free coding clubs for children Guest Speaker 14 year old coder and CEO Jordan Casey was next to grace the stage Two years ago the Waterford native became Europe s youngest iOS app developer with the launch of Alien Ball Vs Humans Since then he has released seven games become a regular on the tech conference circuit and launched TeachWare a cloud based app which enables teachers to easily manage student information Speaking with wisdom beyond his years Casey said that he would like to see young entrepreneurs taken more seriously and cited starting early as a launch pad to entrepreneurial success In ten years I ll have 12 years experience and I ll still only be 24 he explained to attendees who responded with hearty laughter and only the slightest whiff of jealousy The Main Event Casey stayed on stage to announce the biggest prize of the day the Overall Winner of the David Manley Emerging Entrepreneur Award s After a brief drum roll Trevor White and Simon O Connor of The Little Museum of Dublin were crowned as 2014 s big winners Accepting the award Mr White dedicated the award to the Dubliners who donated all 5 000 items on display Nominated by Business to Arts The Little Museum
