    handicapped persons All Our News Media Tool Kit July 17 2008 CSR BNP Paribas undertakes more in favour of the employment of handicapped persons Forward to a friend Forward to a friend Print Print BNP Paribas SA signed a four year agreement at company level in favour of employing disabled persons which came into effect retroactively on January 1st 2008 Further to the Convention signed in 2007 with the AGEFIPH Association de Gestion du Fonds pour l Insertion Professionnelle des Personnes Handicapées this new agreement becomes integrated into BNP Paribas approach against discrimination and openness to diversity and its commitment taken within the framework of the Charter of the Diversity signed in 2004 This agreement gives the bank the means to develop an action corresponding to the company s project which promotes the recruitment of disabled persons and the launching of sensitive actions while optimizing the preservation in the employment and the resort to the services of the protected or adapted sector BNP Paribas expresses its will to implement a voluntary policy in favour of the employment of handicapped persons and their insertion via specialized establishments Share Share on Facebook on Facebook Share on Twitter on Twitter Share on LinkedIn

    Social Report is available online Until now it was integrated in the Sustainable Development Chapter of the Group s Annual Report but this year the Environment and Social responsibility part is one separated report that presents the approach and the actions of the Group in 2006 The approach of BNP Paribas towards the sustainable development is part of its corporate project The environmental social and economic responsibility of the Group is based on the values of the company responsiveness creativity commitment and ambition Animated by a strong dynamic of growth BNP Paribas endeavours to reconcile its financial and commercial needs with strong requirements in matters of ethics and social responsibility BNP Paribas is already engaged in favour of micro credit as it has developed since 2006 a worldwide activity of microfinance Moreover the Group has strengthened its commitment as a socially responsible enterprise and a community outreach player with the Projet Banlieues initiative in France that helps disadvantaged suburbs as well as programmes to fight social exclusion through education and knowledge transfer in several other countries These actions will be carried on and intensified in 2007 As parts of its environmental protection approach BNP Paribas has decided not to publish
