    painting flowers for art It was pancake Tuesday on Tuesday and ash Wednesday on Wednesday It is the start of lent Some children in Mrs Fitzgeralds class are taking part in a basketball blitz on Saturday Ciara in 2nd class went to visit her neighbours puppy over the week Some children in Mrs Kellehers are taking part in badminton match in Limerick on Sunday It was World Book Day on Thursday The older classes did shared reading with the younger classes Mrs Kellehers class also had a book swap For World Book Day people were able to dress up as a favourite character in any book Lots of people dressed up as lots of different characters On Thursday Mija in Juniors was 6 Róisín and Eabha went skiing this week together It is Seachtain na Geailge this week so everyone is making a effort to speak Irish Miss Lehanes class changed groups On Tuesday Miss O Keeffes class had an Irish puppet show They are also doing pancake art for pancke Tuesday The builders moved the box of crocuses out to the front of the school so they would get more light Our school are entering a gardening competion for

    I asked her a few questions and she was delighted to answer them Here are the questions and answers Where are you from Second Class Football Blitz by Miss Lehane On Thursday the 20th of November 2nd Class boys participated in a fun football blitz Pat Spratt the local GDA officer organised for eight teams to travel to Banteer and partake in a very enjoyable day of football Not only did each school have the opportunity to play each other Pat also focused on skills development and Activity Challenge for November by Hollie 6th Fruit in a Bowl How to play You split the class into 2 groups Then you give each group a name of a fruit like apple and orange Explain to each group the specific areas where they have to run to Then you call out one the fruits name and tell them to run Weekly Healthy Eating Challenge Week 1 By David 5th This weeks healthy eating challenge is to try to eat 3 pieces of fruit a day I hope everyone tries to takeoury on or healthy eating challenge If you come back to our website next Friday you will see how Banteer National School got on Active School Meeting a Report by Clodagh 6th Active School Meeting We had our first Active School Flag meeting of this year on the 23rd of October Miss Lehane andMiss O Keeffe spoke to us about all the activities we did last year for the ASF We spoke about Dancing Derek and how much we all enjoyed learning how to dance Miss Lehane downloaded Swimming 2014 a report by Jessica 5th Yesterday we started swimming in Mallow Swimming Pool On Tuesday 1st and 2nd class went swimming First we got changed and then we went out to the
