    Lithuanian press like Lietuvos Rytas Akiračiai Verslo Klasė The author is known not only in Lithuania but abroad as well We had a great chance to get to know the writer In the hall lighted by candles we silently listened to a passages from the author s book Kitas Pasaulis Another World watched a video from his trip to Germany In one moment it seemed that we became one with the story hero NotFelini and together we have watched the streets of Copenhagen getting ready for the St Patrick parade in the next with an African belle we drank coffee in a small coffee shop There is nothing worse than a bad poetry the writer was joking Women should beat men for that I don t think I will find courage to read my poetry And still we have heard some of the authors poetry lines which were so sincere and invited us all to reflect on the words been said It s time to go home There was no one in the hurry to leave at the end of the evening Everyone enjoyed the tea and discussions were very alive between the gathered some of them were exchanging books

    International Relations and Political Science Raimundas Lopata gave a vivid lecture to senior schoolchildren of Saturday Lithuanian Schools from Cork Trim Monaghan and Dublin The lesson lasted for more than half an hour and the teenagers learnt historic facts and events which emphasized the importance of the 16th of February 1918 It was not at all easy to explain the importance of the day in a condensed and understandable way However I am glad I had an opportunity to contribute to the acquaintance of the young generation of Lithuanians with the most significant dates of our country I take pleasure to note that our countrymen in Ireland actively foster national identity and one of the most numerous communities is very enthusiastic the political scientist R Lopata said The teenagers who came to the lesson were pleased with the possibility to learn more about the history of their native land and supplement knowledge gained at Lithuanian school The young Lithuanians got some keepsakes souvenirs with the symbols of February 16th and T shirts with the most important dates for the state of Lithuania inscribed Teenagers who attend Lithuanian schools in Ireland take part in the competition I Draw Lithuania held in
