rebooted the computer neither went the counter up again nor did the region reset to before So the RPC 2 autoreset doesn t seem to work I tried it with both firmware versions first with 1 00 03 then with 1 00 00 with the same non success I also tried out the LG flasher tool from here extracted the main and core firmware files patched the main firmware and flashed the drive but this always resulted in an unuseable drive with firmware revision COR4 until I reflashed using one of the firmware exe files As both methods have been discussed here and the MSCE lists CH10LS20 as patchable to RPC 2 autoreset can anybody tell be what I must do differently in order to get this working Any help is appreciated have you powered down the pc and then checked Read The FAQ Firmware Request Rules MCSE Thread Utilities Puma Administrator Posts 10129 Joined Tue May 11 2004 3 02 pm Location UK Top Reply with quote Re MCSE Thread Version 1 2 0 9 2010 12 28 by hes on Thu Jan 06 2011 10 08 am Hello again Puma wrote have you powered down the pc and then checked I powered the pc down twice during the whole process all in all in reflashed the drive nine times with the different versions But you re right I obviously didn t do so at the end while checking whether the counter resets I wasn t aware though that the drive resets after power down only that fact must have escaped my sight while reading all the instructions and installation reports here and elsewehere In short it worked after all thanks for pointing that out to me Puma Greetings Hes hes New Member Posts 2 Joined Wed Jan 05 2011 1 09 pm Top Reply with quote MediaCodeSpeedEdit V1 2 0 10 is out by ala42 on Mon Oct 03 2011 4 01 pm MediaCodeSpeedEdit V1 2 0 10 is out Code Select all Changelog 1 2 0 10 03 Oct 2011 added support for BH12NS35 BH12LS35 1 01 added support for BH12NS38 BH12LS38 1 00 added support for GH24NS70 GN01 06 added support for HL DT ST DVD RW GU40 added support for HL DT ST DVDRAM GU40 added support for ATAPI iHAS622 A added support for ATAPI iHAS624 A added support for ATAPI iHAS124 B added support for ATAPI iHAS224 B added support for ATAPI iHAS424 B added support for ATAPI iHAS524 B added support for ATAPI iHAS624 B added support for PIONEER DVD RW DVR S17J 1 10 added support for PIONEER DVD RW DVR 115D 9 06 Primera added support for PIONEER DVD RW DVR 215D 9 13 Primera added support for PIONEER DVD RW DVR 216D 9 08 Primera added support for Optiarc DVD RW AD 7280S 1 01 added support for Optiarc DVD RW AD 5260S 1 Z5 Download Changelog LiteOn Benq LG NEC Pioneer Samsung Toshiba stuff MediaCodeSpeedEdit V 1 2 0

is a device by the SAME manufacture in a NON RETAIL box designed to be installed by system builders EG PIONEER DVDR 112 vs the retail version A112 Both have the Pioneer name on the front and both look the same sometimes a cosmetic difference might exist The REBADGED device will show a completely different manufacturer name but the guts will be a PIONEER It would be good for some FAQ or sticky to clarify this as I know people get confused by the misuse of the terms when applied to firmware issues Hope this helps Best regards GnB GawdnBennett Fresh meat Posts 10 Joined Tue Mar 23 2004 2 46 chef on Tue Jun 03 2008 6 56 am I always underline that the offered OEM drives are wrongly advertised because OEM refers to drives from system builders included in complete systems BULK is the correct term for that drives offered online Few offered are retail which would be the same as bulk but with extras like cable complete manual installation parts and sometimes also a different look rem XL drives So the confusion is created by the dealers mostly DVRFlash has the important info feature verbose which gives the specific info about what drive you have BTW this is wrong Both have the Pioneer
